Sneetch

Our day celebrating Dr. Seuss has been changed to Tuesday, March 27!

I realized that we could have more fun with two teachers in the room! On Tuesdays, Mrs. Hauf is in during the morning and afternoon to assist.

If your child is wearing a Dr. Seuss costume that you’ve made at home, please have him/her wear it on Tuesday or bring it to school in a bag. Don’t worry if you haven’t put a costume together, I have character hats for the children to wear. If at all possible, please have your child wear a shirt in the color indicated on tomorrow's paper, that will add to the costume.

Tomorrow we will be playing Pin the Bow on the Cat in the Hat and Tic Tac Toe with Green Eggs and Ham. We’ll be guessing how many colorful fish are in the jar-perhaps one fish, two fish? We’ll be graphing our favorite Seuss book. We’ll make rhyming hat booklets, and pattern red fish and blue fish. The children will also help make Green Eggs and Ham for snack and create Oobleck for gooey fun. We’ll have a Yurtle the Turtle stacking contest too.

We’ve enjoyed a month of Seuss books read aloud by the children, Ms. Hotchkin (the librarian) and me.
