Our second grade buddies came down for Christmas caroling, craft making, and snacks. The Kindergarteners serenaded them with Must be Santa. You can watch their practice session of this song below. Then K and 2nd grade sang favorite carols together like Rudolph, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Frosty, and Jingle Bells. After singing, the kids split up into small groups of K and 2nd graders to make beaded art. You can view the kids hard at work in the slide show below. The kids ended the morning together building their own "Reindeer Trail Mix"; a combo of the following ingredients-chex party mix, pretzels, m&ms, chocolate chips, and cereal. The kids all had a great time. We love to get together with our older buddies!

We had great fun at our first ever schoolwide sing-along. The kids did a phenomenal job singing Must Be Santa with Mrs. Strong's class. We enjoyed all the musical acts including all the teachers singing We Wish You a Merry Christmas to the kids. The class had a wonderful party together. We toasted all the good things in life and ate delicious treats. We played a few rounds of Musical Chairs and the M&M game. The day went very quickly and was a great deal of fun!

Enjoy your vacation. Don't forget to track Santa's journey on Christmas Eve from his official website via Norad. Let your child explore the North Pole and try out all the fun games. My favorite game is Mrs. Claus' Alphabet Soup. The object of the game is to find and type in the letter shown on the screen as fast as you can, then play again to beat your time! What a great game to help your child improve his/her blogging skills.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good and restful vacation! See you in 2008!
