Kelly Bear
Each week, a character building thought will be taught to the children. Below is the outline we will be following. Our puppet Kelly Bear (created by Leah Davies, M.Ed.), will lead a discussion and activities on making good decisions. We will role play good and bad scenarios for each thought. Each day, we will take a few minutes to remember the thought and brainstorm how we can act on it for the day. During our "Sharing Circle" at the end of the day, we'll discuss examples of children acting on the thought. Please help your child remember by talking about our topic throughout the week at home. "Catch" your child demonstrating the thought and praise him or her for it. Other wonderful ideas and suggestions for parents are available on the Kelly Bear website (www.kellybear.com).
